Millenium Bridge, Kazan
(3.4/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Take in panoramic views of the city and river from Millenium Bridge, the highest bridge in the city. Spanning 835 m (2740 ft) and completed in 2005 in time for the city's millennium, the bridge is constructed so that its supporting pillars form a large M, in commemoration of the millennium. Stroll along the pedestrian walkways for excellent views of the city, lean on the railing and watch the water slip by, and take a moment to watch the people coming and going. The bridge also provides access to Gorky Park. Use our Kazan trip itinerary builder to arrange your visit to Millenium Bridge and other attractions in Kazan.

  • Very nice look at Millennium, journeying to the Leninist dam in the evening, and go on the very evening of the new millennium, just super nice. True, corks in the morning, but too well without them:)

  • The bridge impressed its grandness. The road is flat, wide. The bridge can be seen from far away on his background, you can make beautiful pictures.

  • One of the most original structures outside the Kazan Kremlin. Built to the 1000-anniversary of Kazan and became not only a symbol of the city, but also one of the nodes in the transportation issues of the city. The letter "M" symbolizes the Millennium (millenium), there are folk joke that "m" is the initial of the name of the ex-President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev. When the bridge was completed only half, say the locals called the bridge on the installed half the letters "m"-linoleum.
