Museum "Bunker", Kaliningrad

4.3
Learn about the Storm on Konigsberg at the end of World War II at Museum "Bunker". Otto Lasch, the German general, ordered the bunker's creation in March 1945 to serve as the command center of the Konigsberg Fortress. After the surrender of the German army on April 9, 1945, the bunker was no longer functional, and it opened as a museum in 1967. See where General Lasch signed the German capitulation in Room 13 and view films explaining the events that occurred at the fortress. Note that English language explanations are limited, as most writing and films are in Russian and German. • This place is a must for anyone who is interested in the second world war because it explains remarkably well the last moments of Koenigsberg until his surrender.

  • Interesting place. Tastefully done, as if the plunge in the history and in 1945 year! On the stands has all the information. It is possible and without audio. One minus-very stuffy. After half an hour my wife even felt bad.

  • Without headphones, inside, in fact, it is not difficult to understand-everything on the stands. But everything is better with him, with audioguide. Already going down in the bunker, you begin to feel the atmosphere of this place. Places where I decided the fate of Königsberg at the official level, because it is here that General lasch de facto capitulated. To visit-be sure all lovers of history!

  • Probably, this museum has ranked among the top 3, where I wanted to get for sure, as it turns out, for good reason. The Museum is situated right in the yards for Kaliningrad hotel, so found it to be not very difficult. I came here for 1.5 hours before closing and me with their hands and feet dragged housekeeper, assuring him that I have time to see everything! I managed to see the exhibit, but a film about storming of Königsberg was not searched: ( Entrance adult 100 r., free photos, I took the audioguide for 150 p, but pledged need to leave 2 t.r. So there you go! The Museum is housed in the former German bomb shelter, the CTD was built towards the end of the war in March 1945 year it was headquarters of the Nazi troops, who led the defense of the city, led by Commandant Otto Ljashem. And it is here, in the presence of our yet, signed the instrument of surrender of the city to the Soviet army! The bunker is located at a depth of 7 meters, consists of 21 rooms. Here were all the life-support systems: electricity, pipings, sewerage, communications, etc. The Museum was opened in the late 1960-ies. • The present German war bunker. In a small space are collected very interesting exhibits-German, and our. All very realistic. Passing through the offices of the bunker was fully immersed in the atmosphere of a short, but very cruel assault on this city, you learn the history of the people who fought here.

  • Love the "quick" museums, where you don't need to run around and suffer "and all we watched, but we didn't miss anything?". Interesting and concise Exposition. A good option to come here simply while walking.
