Pay your respects to a famous German philosopher and admire an excellent example of brick Gothic architectural style at Königsberg Cathedral. Built in 1933 while the city was under German rule as the capital of East Prussia, the structure showcases murals, wooden carvings, and monuments from different artistic movements over several centuries. Enter to see a number of medieval, Renaissance, and late Gothic works of art, as well as the tomb of famous philosopher Immanuel Kant. Although the church was damaged during World War II, it was restored in the 1990s. • The building is very beautiful. Probably the most beautiful building in my opinion. Inside the beautiful body. I advise you to go to a concert of organ music.

  • A lot of stuff in one building: Cathedral, two museums, Tomb of Kant. Before the Cathedral stood in the Centre of densely built-up Islands. Now it is the only building on the island, but in the Museum you can see the photos, including the bridges from the famous puzzles of Kant.

  • A little lost, reconstructed old Königsberg cathedral stands on its river island of already there – all around everything rather faceless skyscrapers after the complete destruction of this part of Königsberg by British bombers in the last months of the war. He is faithfully but rebuilt and therefore worth seeing.
