Immanuel Kant's Grave, Kaliningrad

(3.8/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
Read the inscription on Immanuel Kant's Grave and learn which two things never ceased to occupy the philosopher's mind. The memorial to the great philosopher of the Age of Enlightenment is one of the few historical places from the German era that survived when the Soviets took over the city, thanks to an open letter written by an anonymous person. The letter, which cited Engels' writings to prove that Kant was important for communist ideology, saved not only the grave but also the ruins of the nearby cathedral. Kant was originally buried within the cathedral; the mausoleum was created in 1924. • As a cult place-perhaps visit is necessary, but nothing special to expect is not worth it, just a stone Tomb from the walls of the Cathedral and the writing on the wall. Guess when you visit this place with a guide would be much more interesting than themselves.

  • his grave is located near the walls of the Cathedral on the island worth visiting at the same time you can visit the Cathedral, there are organ concerts and there is a Museum of Kant. The Museum does not advise, and body recommend if you're a fan of this.

  • Along with the Cathedral, the tomb is located, one of the emblematic places in the city, which is well worth a visit. So much so that it is located on a small island on which, after a visit, you can take a walk, considering, for example, Kant's dictum: "better a horrible end than a horror without end." ...
