Learn about the Storm on Konigsberg at the end of World War II at Bunker Museum. Otto Lasch, the German general, ordered the bunker's creation in March 1945 to serve as the command center of the Konigsberg Fortress. After the surrender of the German army on April 9, 1945, the bunker was no longer functional, and it opened as a museum in 1967. See where General Lasch signed the German capitulation in Room 13 and view films explaining the events that occurred at the fortress. Note that English language explanations are limited, as most writing and films are in Russian and German. • Worthwhile if you're interested in the pre WW2 and WW2 history of East-Preussia
  • Main Text is available in Russian, English and German. The text in the separate rooms are only in Russian.
  • Important historical object. Local history of the city, must know at least since the storming of Königsberg by the Soviet troops

  • Great place. You can see the history of how it all happened.

  • Interesting military underground construction. Waiting for the space inside is not justified. Standard concrete bays. We were pleased with introductory tour. Informative Exposition. Especially liked the Hans chops. HERE'S THIS PRESERVATION!
