  • This is a nice statue and worth visiting. There is a great view of the statue from further up Karla Marksa Street. And around sunset there is a great view of it from this street.
  • Mighty AleksandrIII fits perfectly into the landscape. In my opinion, these alleys along the waterfront a favorite vacation spot of Irkutsk. There is always a lot of people and a great emperor and outstanding quietness force (which is clearly visible) protects the rest of his subjects. monument to majestic, favorite irkutjanami as Alexander

  • In Soviet times, the monument was demolished in the year 1920 and at the place the King raised a stone Spire, leaving p'edistal. He looked massively, but when it is dismantled, it turned out that this was a hollow column, made of reinforced concrete. It is popularly nicknamed "Spire impotenta". In 2003, the city restored the sculpture of King, who as intended by the architect spends on Russian East.
