130 Kvartal, Irkutsk

4.4
Pop into the boutique shops, cafes, bars, and souvenir shops, all housed in traditional Irkutsk wooden houses, lining 130 Kvartal. Some of the wooden buildings have been transported from other locations throughout the county, and others were constructed to blend in with the original structures in the area. Guarding the entrance to the area is a monster bronze babr, the mythical beast featured on the Irkutsk municipal coat of arms. Be sure to take advantage of the outdoor seating to capture a view of the nearby river. • A very interesting place with it began our acquaintance with Irkutsk. Many shops, cafes, restaurants where you can sit. But it is still interesting and architecture, especially good fit old houses. Recommend.

  • The rebuilt entertainment street full of restaurants and shops. At the beginning it is a Town-bear, and rests against a street with a large shopping centre.

  • Pretty expensive but beautiful place. Perfect for shopping and trips to the restaurant, many street musicians.

  • It's a pretty good area for night-live and shopping with quite a few pubs and restaurants serving different types of food (including traditional cuisine). There is a also a good shopping mall there - Modniy Kvartal. Overall, it's probably one of the very few places in the actual city which I would recommend tourists to visit. So, if you have few days in Irkutsk, give 130 Kvartal a chance - pick a place for dinner and take a walk around the area.
  • I didn't see much interesting on the street. There's a series of restaurants and stores that stretch maybe two blocks. The statue of the mythical beaver-tiger at the north end is probably the most interesting part.
  • Pedestrianised Area with selection of restaurants and bars and run of the mill souvenir shops. They tout it as having examples of the original style of wooden architecture of the area but if you stroll atound the town along the "green line" you'll see plenty of the real houses. There is a modern shopping centre at the end of the strip. I only strolled through it during a quiet day in April, apart from the cool statue of Irkutsk's "mascot" at the beginning of the strip i cant recommend much else. There's probably more of a buzz about this place on weekend nights or during tourist high season. When the bars etc. are busy.
  • Nice walk and shops
  • The restored historical buildings of the city of Irkutsk, including monuments of architecture and history of the city. A lot of interesting places. There is a Fashionable quarter shopping centre, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, koditerskie, hotels, beauty parlors, and much else. Very many tourists. Is where to walk, relax and just have fun
