  • Actually, not in convent of Dmitrov. From the city it need to go min 40 by bus (No. 36), or more than an hour by bus (the same number) to the village Meadow. But the beautiful monastery, and is worth a special visit. Founded by the disciple of venerable Sergius of Methodius. The territory is large and well appointed. A small central Cathedral in the name of prelate Nikolay something similar to the Trinity Cathedral of the Lavra. There is a small Zoo at the monastery. And two prudika with swans, ducks and geese.

  • Went to a family with young children, were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, condition and well-groomed territory, silence and lack of crowds. At the monastery there is a Zoo, it's free. You can also buy on a farmstead fresh milk and meat products. Very nice, I can recommend to visit.

In the long history of the monastery was all: prosperity, as in Ivan Grozny, or at the end of the 18-early 19 century, when the monastery was called the second Lavra near Moscow and desolation, as in the time of troubles, or even abolition, as in the middle of the 17 and 18 in the middle ages, and during the years of Soviet power. It is striking that on the territory of the monastery still little Greens-only young recently planted trees. But this is not surprising, because until very recently, the territory of the monastery a few decades belonged to the psihonevrologiche ...
