(4.9/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Discover what life was like in the 19th-century military reservation at Astrakhan Kremlin. For centuries, the fortress was an inapproachable stronghold on the Russian southern border. It became a part of the historical and architectural reservation museum in 1980. See the clothes and other artifacts that belonged to peoples of the Lower Volga, and the elements of soldiers' armaments and ammunition. Check out the exhibit dedicated to the history of civil commotion and corporal punishments. Apart from two museums and fortification walls, the complex features seven towers, officer's houses, and soldier's barracks, as well as several cathedrals, churches, chapels, and a house of clergy. • Very beautiful snow-white Kremlin. I don't know what it was before the restoration, but for now just a delightful place. You can admire the architecture of the Kremlin, stroll through the extensive grounds enough to sit on a bench and just talk. I really enjoyed

  • The most beautiful the stone lace in Russia: snow-white and Astrakhan Kremlin Dormition Cathedral! Lobnoye Mesto and stairs do not frighten and draw visitors and residents in mystery stories that originate in distant 16th century!

  • After the repair is very much Astrakhan Kremlin has changed for the better. It has become much prettier. Especially nice was the courtyard at the entrance. But in the farthest visible on repair already not enough money. When you visit the city centre, the Kremlin always causes positive emotions. But there is a drawback. The walls are closed.
