  • This open air museum is out of the way for most tourists, but it's worth the trip if you're in the area. It's my understanding that this buildings here are in the traditional local style. The structures are all made exclusively from wood, and the design and craftsmanship are remarkable. We also saw some traditional local dancing in one of the buildings during our visit.
  • Great place in the suburb of Arkhangelsk. This museum presents the really unusual houses, churches and windmills. Everything is made entirely of wood. The oldest exhibit dates back to 1669g. that in itself is interesting. If you are in the Arkhangelsk and you have a couple of free hours, this place just be sure to attend.

  • An interesting place to learn the life of the pomors. Enjoy walking, see the creativity of craftsmen with their eyes, the ability to take a master class.

  • If you arrived in Arkhangelsk on business, then be sure to take time to visit the Museum. More like such a vast park in NORTH-WEST no under Novgorod in Vitoslavlicah only the hundredth part of what can be seen here. The Church in the Centre, if I remember correctly, frontier 15-16 centuries. Views over the plain of absolutely stunning at sunset. And Golden autumn in the Park will be remembered for a long time. In the Café (though it works to 17:00) you can eat pancakes with bilberry (red caviar). And you can still catch the plane.
