  • Complex "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda" could not help but like. Beauty! Astounding beauty of the temples, a very good Museum and tour guides

  • We have not so many stone buildings that recall Ivan the terrible. At least because of this visit. Reviews that is the museum itself-abound. Want to focus on domestic issues. From Moscow can easily be reached by train. From the station there are regular buses to the Museum. From the Museum towards the train station too. In the Museum you can walk alone or with a guided tour. I do not like the tour. Were essentially jokes-nursery rhymes (type, where famous Russian proverbs gone-as from the era of Ivan the terrible). So it is quite possible to walk by yourself, read the explanations of the exhibits and Google missing information. A couple of hours to explore enough. The place is beautiful. Normal Cafe on the territory of the Museum there. There are "tea", where there are few tables and you can drink tea from tea bags or instant coffee. To this is attached a local pastries (made not on the plants and not according to GOST). And all. In the city itself have any local café called "Minute", "Omar", etc. I did not dare to go in them. Network Café there. At the station, too, have something like a cafe, but again somehow without coffee machines. In General, bring sandwiches.

  • Alexandrov (now Vladimir Oblast) for 17 years, has become de facto unconquered Russia. Here in 1564 year Ivan the terrible had the Government coffers, the entire State apparatus, here based Army (later the city will become a center of Oprichnina) were chasing money, taken foreign ambassadors and i.d. so it was up to the year 1581. When the King's son under mysterious circumstances never died in Grozny decided to leave the ' bloody Castle '. According to historians, Aleksandrovskaya Sloboda has almost the same look that was in the 16th century, and in the Dungeon of the Kremlin has preserved an authentic stone. Reconstructed the Interior of the Royal Chambers, ancient books and personal belongings of most people.
