  • In the year 1879 was posted the first painting in the Museum's records, to which they added his donation from Ormos 1888-1895 Zsimond, collector and art historian, one of the founders of the Museum. Along the heritage of painting was completed by new donations and purchases. Thus in 1943 the Museum moved into a wing of the Palace of culture, and in 1947 the Huniade Castle. In 1987, the Department of art of the Museum of Banat moves into the West Wing of the Palace of Piata Unirii. This space, but it was too small for the Collections. From 1 January 2006 the Department becomes the Museum of art and currently include over 8500 exhibits. Static Google Map GPS coordinates: 45.75720 N, 21.22938 E
