  • During our visit we could cross llamas that had look sick (fur and infected ear), thin bears whose fur was almost removed, only monkeys and cats in a cage... short to see animals as got me very badly in the heart!

  • Zoo in Timisoara memories not of most other wildlife parks. It is decorated in a part of the large forest area Pădurea Verde and is mostly a shady park. Animals living under large trees, and it is a nice place to stay on a hot summer day. The garden, which opened in 1986, has about 30 species, the vast majority are animals from Romania, but here are also among other ostriches, monkeys and a zebra. The garden is very child-friendly. In the little café at the entrance to buy healthy feed, carrots, sunflower seeds and the kind that you can feed the small, cute and very domesticated goats that render freely with. But you can also buy bags of chips in the Café, and there is no doubt that the goats far prefer the children offering them on chips. What many chips they goats, however, can eat!! Easy access out to the Zoo by bus number 46 departing from Bastionul Theresia. Take a piece of paper with the text "Bus 46" and show it to local passersby. Square by the bastion is great, and it is not easy to orient themselves, but the locals know from where the bus is running. Have you taken out here in order to see the Zoo, it is also recommended to visit the village Museum Bănățean, Village Museum, which has its own reviews here on TripAdvisor. On the short hike between these two places, passing the large "Monumentul Rezistenței Anticomuniste din Banat" as a monument in honor of those who in their opposition to communism was killed in the years 1949-1952. There are several restaurants in the area, and you can have a really nice day here.

  • Very good location, in the forest on east side of the city. But not really clean and lacking animals. Recommended to visit only connected with other spots that you can find in the surrounding area, be...  more »

  • Nice place for relaxing. Nice place for animals. A lot of animals. The fee is very cheap and you can buy from inside seeds to feed the birds and some animals.
  • Nice little Zoo, great for kids for 1-2 hour walk. Some goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits running free through zoo. Free playground. Entry fee is almost nothing.
  • Nice zoo despite few animals. Avoid visiting after 6pm, because it:s full of... moskitos. A must see place if you are suffering from flu.
  • If you stay in Timisoara or you are visiting it I would definitely recommend you to visit the Zoo. Don't expect to see Noah's ark there but at a price lower that 1$ it's a nice experience. Take some vegetables with you to feed the animals :)
  • Nice place , for kids and parents.
