Admire the ornate facade with a clock tower above the entrance. Inside, explore museums devoted to subjects like regional history and technology. See the largest art collection in the country. At the ethnographic center get an up-close look at 1,000 items that reflect the development of the Romanian people in the area. • A brutal imperial palace! It's great from the outside. You couldn't visit inside which is a shame!

  • Great historical place, beautifully restored. It has a great permanent exhibition of a lot of cool stuff from medieval and classical times but more importantly it is a frequent host for many other temporary exhibitions of art, antique culture, medieval devices etc. It always seems to have a temporary exhibition besides its normal one which makes for a great reason to keep coming back since everytime you visit you will see something new and interesting wrapped around in a beautiful palace. I have not included any pictures of the exhibitions, only the palace itself.
  • Beautiful outside and in. The galleries are a bit small. Consider expanding them with some international art as well and maybe opening up the other two thirds of this beautiful place.
  • Definitely worth visiting. Interesting museums inside, exterior is awesome as well.
  • Awesome place in Iasi. Must see if you are a tourist or you want to see a great museum! Just awesome!
  • Art section amaizing. less other sections

Where to stay in Iasi

If you're looking for 19th-century opulence, look at what's on offer around the park and plazas to the east of the main train station. Looking over these pleasant public spaces, elegant hotels offer extra features, such as spas and fine restaurants. As you head southeast, you'll find a number of simpler, more modern hotels. Look around the residential areas and side streets in the historical center for budget-friendly guesthouses and small hotels.
