The Horezu Monastery or Hurezi Monastery was founded in 1690 by Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu in the town of Horezu, Wallachia, Romania. It is considered to be a masterpiece of "Brâncovenesc style", known for its architectural purity and balance, the richness of its sculpted detail, its treatment of religious compositions, its votive portraits, and its painted decorative works.The monastery has been inscribed by UNESCO on its list of World Heritage Sites.

  • I stopped to visit this place at the request of my wife she was already and wanted to come back as we were in the area we went was just us visitors to the site and beautiful and leaves you feeling calm and serenity the monastery is with classic style of Orthodox monasteries If pass in the area go there

  • This monastery has surprised us by the good care that is. It is very nice both inside and out. In addition, the environment is spectacular, with the mountains behind. We were totally alone, only saw some nuns, even attempt to talk with us, very nice.
