  • Cathedral, built by master Manole, probably the most unusual and beautiful Cathedral. It is the burial place of the Kings of Romania. With related stories. For example, pregnant wife was immured in the Foundation of the Cathedral architect and is indicated by an appropriate inscription on the wall. Interesting collection of frescoes inside the Cathedral, the majority of which signed the old Slavonic language. Around the Cathedral is a beautiful small park. Entrance fee.

  • Great place to visit! Kings are buried here. A legend tells of Radu Negru employing Meşterul Manole or Manoli as architect. With Manole being unable to finish the walls, the prince threatened him and his assistants with death. At last Manole suggested that they should follow the ancient custom of placing a living woman into the foundations; and that she who first appeared on the following morning should be the victim. The other masons warned their families, and Manole was forced to sacrifice his own wife. Thus the cathedral was built.
  • Amazing place full of history and legends. Here also rests all the kings and queens of Romania, as the city was recently named Royal City of Curtea de Arges by the Romanian Royal Family.

  • The monastery was originally built by Voivode of Wallachia Neagoe Basarab, about 1200. King of Romania, Carol I rebuilt it at about 1886 demanding that after death, there to find the final resting place! Therefore, here are buried near the founders voivodes, the first kings of Romania. If you know what it meant Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen Carol for Romania, then you have to at least once to visit the grave!
