  • This is a nice, old fortification that worth visit if you are nearby. It is one of the nicest fortified chruches in the area of Sibiu. 
  • you reach the fortified Grossau 9 km from Sibiu, along the airport. The village was mentioned for the first time in the year 1223, under the name Insula Christiani. The (Evangelical) church dedicated to the Saint Servatius was built as a three-naved Basilica. A monument with the names of the victims from the I. and II. World War II is located in the church yard.
