  • Very close to Cozia monastery, on the opposite bank of the Olt River; only 2 kilometers and a half, although one and a half should be done by a lane of land, although aunque es is suitable for vehicles. It has a large car park at the entrance, and the visit is free. The Foundation of the monastery dating from 1676, formerly from Cozia monks lived in caves in the surrounding area; in the interior of the monastery we see a Hermitage carved into the rock. The Church is modern, as the original was destroyed in a fire; He has beautiful wall paintings. In general the entire environment is very nice, located in a small Gorge is an objective that we must not lose us, even more so by being so close to Cozia monastery. Currently reside in the 25 monks who live in the more abslouta austerity.

  • Next to mountains, woods and river. Excellent to visit at East Christians festivals. Biking and kayaking possibilities in vicinity.
  • Is in the distance from the road, but on foot from it completely can be reached within 20 minutes. We were in the car, parking near the monastery. The monastery itself is very small, quiet and beautiful, very well maintained. There are small caves for monks, for privacy. Near the monastery in the shadow of Yves tables, you can grab a bite to eat after a walk. On the territory of the two sources of water, we did not drink, but the local, seen, drank. Opposite the Monastery trail begins in the mountains with excellent road and magnificent views, who loves light trekking. They can be reached in about an hour
