  • Curtea Veche with the bust of VladIII was just a disappointment, like Bucharest. Gypsies everywhere who follow you as soon as they realize that you are a tourist and with some only in your pocket. Very beautiful and ancient Church, artistically bound terrible with people sleeping inside and a suffocating smell. Too bad the rich and ancient heritage bucarestense is kept as bad.

  • At present (January 2017) the Museum is closed, however judging from photos and reviews also entering do not see anything more than what you can easily see from the street

  • There's absolutely no need to spend the mare 1US$ for this museum, as most of the exhibits can be seen from the street (and there're not that many of them to begin with). The bust of Dracula provides ...  more »

  • Great piece of medieval history right in the center of town. Worth a visit. It's just a shame that the buildings in front of it are a bit of a mess a day take away from the experience. Also, during winter, the sidewalk in front of the gate can be a bit slippery.
  • Could have used a bit more information and could definitely be made a little more interesting for tourists. Still worth a see though if you're into Vlad.
  • Amazing historical place in the heart of the city's old town.
  • Merita vizitat
  • This is Vlad's actual castle. Shame it's in ruins. Worth a stop by, but don't expect to be impressed. The subfloor brick arch section was a cool respite from the summer sun and made for some cool pictures. Not many visitors so great place for undisturbed photos. Worth the 18 RON for entrance and photographic tax. If the management of this place wanted to bring in more tourists, they just need to decorate in period motif and have period clothes available for photos. Play up the whole dracula bit. Or leave it as is, a quiet just-off the beaten path place.
