  • This tiny Museum comprising 3 rooms is certainly well done but too small. In the large main room comp features many electric trains circulating. Mini bleachers all around have been specially developed for young children.

  • Located in the proximity of the main raillway station in Bucharest, the Museum of the Romanian Railways is a must if you are a passionate of trains or just a good alternative to spend some time if you are in the area, or if you are waiting to catch the next train. While is not too big, it still has interesting pieces to exhibit, from old engines to different documents of the romanian railways history. A interesting part of the museum is a space organized like a train carriage, where you can experience the train travelling, while the window is replaces by a TV that shows a film recorded during an actual train ride. If you are a passionate, or if you have children I am sure you will like the most the room dedicated to an impressive, large diorama, with a few trains, different landscapes, bridges, stations and so on. Everything looks so real and is done with a lot of attention to details, so you can spend quite some pleasant time here.
  • Small but interesting. Explains history of rail vehicles, building of railroads, bridges and tunnels. One of the largest working model train dioramas I've seen to date
  • Very old and dusty place!
  • Nice museum to learn more about the history of CFR. Also, they have a very large railway modelling map.
  • Poorly maintained but nice to visit.
