  • It's a huge market, divided into two huge structures, on the one hand the other meats and fish and fruit and vegetables, but outside there are also countless other sellers ' banquets, all from the air extremely popular, attended mostly by ordinary people, is easily reached by metro line M1 (Obor), if you are looking for souvenirs this is the wrong place. Nearby, across the street there is also a big shopping center.

  • If not you like the entrails of pig, not go. No, just kidding. It has more things (apart from casings). To exit the subway at Obor Piata cross an underground passage and out already begin to see on the street. I do not know what proportion corresponds to that we are at Christmas. The market are actually two giant buildings with dozens of positions of meat, meats, cheeses, fish, vegetables and legumes, salted fish, variants, utensils, etc. We were working Thursday on 13:00 and had enough people. Already, there are both fresh and prepared food product stands and, for being winter I suppose, they also serve mulled wine. Some jobs have their barbecues where they prepare the micis and all kinds of cut of pork. However to us what we liked the most were a few white beans (post Fasole) serving in one of the street stalls specialising in dishes with three giant pots where besides the beans cooked a sort of soup goulash which I don't remember the name and another smaller Sarmale pot. All these posts have high tables and even though the day was very cold he was wearing a splendid Sun and we enjoyed of the fasole, the timisoara, the solete and human landscape. A great morning.

  • Obor is the largest market in Bucharest with a large hall and a large outside area. Tons of fresh fruit and vegetables and a large crowd. Very authentic part of decentral Sector 2 in Bucharest.
