  • We walked through this park every day from our hotel to Izvor metro. Nothing ever happening here. Very few people in the day, empty ping pong tables, a little more people in the evening. The only good...  more »
  • Absolutely huge. Full of people, dogs, kids, bikes, you name it, it is here. So many dog parks, paths, a giant play structure, rollerblades, etc. Awesome!  more »
  • This is a semi large park located adjacent to the Palace of the Parliament. It's a fairly large open space good for walking the dog, walking or running, taking the kids to the kids area, sitting on on...  more »

  • Nice park with large alleys to stroll and playgrounds. But it definitely needs more vegetation - especially trees that would provide shade during the hot summer days.
  • Next to the famous biggest Parliament Building, this park is good place for tourists to take a rest. There's a play zone for children, too.
  • As time goes by, the park looks better. For May 1st - we had very nice rock concert, including .... Bosquito !
  • I would not make the mistake of calling it a park. A park should have some trees. This thing is basically a green patch with some poorly kept grass and weeds and basically the only thing it has to offer is aa. .wait.. there must be something. Ah, yeah: special dog-spaces, because in Bucharest dogs are vermin, hence you can only have one at home (but having a cow in your yard in the middle of Bucharest can be the envy of your entire street). a lot of grass and other weeds public toilets (which are not as common as one would expect) it's close to the metro and some horrid communist buildings; don't worry, you'll notice those. That's it. That's it all.
  • One of my favourite parks because one can sit on the grass and enjoy a bit of calm . There is a bad traffic in the area, so you hear the cars wherever you are. Unfortunately, not much to do here on winter. In the other seasons, it's perfect for jogging, cycling (the bike rentals didn't work last year, hope they fix that) and having a nice view with the Palace of Parliament.

Where to stay in Bucharest

To take advantage of Bucharest's lively downtown, look for accommodations in the areas of Universitatii square, Unirii, Romana, or Victoriei to be closest to bars, clubs, and restaurants, as well as many of the major sights. Choose from a variety of hostels and budget hotels, or book a night at one of the mid-range or luxury hotels. If you decide to venture farther out of the city, look for lodging close to public transportation to avoid the city's notoriously bad traffic.
