Bastionul Graft, Brasov
(4.3/5 based on 30+ reviews on the web)
Located on fortified walls that once encircled medieval Brasov, Bastionul Graft houses a small collection belonging to a regional history museum. The two-story bastion was built in the first quarter of the 16th century and served as a passage for soldiers commuting between the city and the tower. Notice the walls' loopholes and crevices, which were used for pouring boiling water on the enemy. The museum on the second floor features weapons, armor, and lithographs of the city’s ancient fortifications.
