Bastionul Graft, Brasov
Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Located on fortification walls that encircled the medieval Brasov, Bastionul Graft houses a small collection belonging to a regional history museum. The two-story bastion was built in the first quarter of the 16th century and served as a passage for soldiers commuting between the city and the tower. Notice loopholes and crevices used for pouring boiling water on the enemy. The museum on the second floor features weapons, armor, and lithographs of the city’s ancient fortification walls. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Brasov holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Bastionul Graft and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.
