  • The Catholic Church in the main street of Arad isn't hard to find, it is right next to the national theatre of Arad as a church is not bad is particular placement but is one of the pearls of the city, I highly recommend you visit and do a lot of pictures

  • Catedrala Romano-Catolică, închinată Sf. Anton de Padua, like back siphonage into the Roman Catholic Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Antony of Padua was built in the years 1902 and 1903 quickly impressive after drawings by architect Emil Tabacovici, who created an edifice in eclectic style. The décor of the Cathedral sanctuary, however, took nearly ten years more, and in 1911 the Church could only be taken into use. Catedrala Romano-Catolică, închinată SF. Anton de Padua replaced an earlier Church in the Baroque style. The Church, which is 56 meters high and 40 meters wide, is built into the houses on Bulevardul Revoluției 96 and divides the facade with, among other things, two banks and a shop for costume jewellery, but fortunately, the Church's share of the building's most distinctive! Forrest on the façade of the Church, there are four pilasters with Corinthian capitals which continues into the correct columns with the same small caps working. Over the entrance is a replica of a sculpture by Michelangelo: Maria sits with his dead, thorns granular son. To my disappointment, it was only possible to look into the impressive Chapel through the Windows in the porch, but that is better than nothing. The idea with pilasters with pillars at the front is continued inside the Church. 12 large pillars, six in each page marks very well in the Church room. On the main altar is the Hungarian painter György Vastaghs (1834-1922) image of Saint Antonius who kisses Jesus the child's foot. "My house is a House of prayer" says that in Hungarian on the façade of the Church. It is a shame that I and other visitors in Romano-Catolică, Catedrala închinată SF. Anton de Padua had to be standing in the porch and could not be allowed to enter the Church.
