River Drim, Struga

(4.2/5 based on 80 reviews on the web)
River Drim streams out of Lake Ohrid and runs through town, offering a view of its clear waters to pedestrians walking along its banks. Stroll along paved promenades and over the Poetry Bridge, one of the places where international poetry evenings are held. Three beaches and the largest five-star hotel in the city sit near the estuary. From one end, you can catch a good view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Do not leave Struma without tasting Ohrid trout, a type of salmon that lives in the river and the lake. • For goodness sake ... has its own charm and is characteristic. Beautiful bridges, bella the peculiarity of a watercourse that flows from the Lake towards the Centre of town ... but the flooring? Very slippery tile though only wet ... imagine in January when it is full of snow ... the delirium! And no sghiaccia or shoveling snow! ... to break some bones. Otherwise very enjoyable and full of bars on both sides.

  • The Drim empties into the first phase of the Lake and a second poured from the Lake in Struga and created again. It is beautiful and original image the estuary of River Lake (where there is a dam, which regulates the amount of water) and it creates a small waterfall. Then it flows between a Grand Canyon.
