  • Lovely building. Didn't visit. However, photos best taken to include the Bridge of Civilisations. Building in keeping with Skopje's architecture which is stunning.
  • The Museum gives the impression that the history of the Balkans is war, war and war again ... But spent a couple of hours. Extremely interesting! Mast SI! PS to the Museum maintains a very beautiful bridge

  • Apart from the other questionable new buildings/statues, I really enjoyed this one. One of the must see things in Skopje (not that you can miss it :-))
  • Archaeological Museum of Macedonia is one of the greatest places to visit. There is 6 separate rooms with 6000 artifacts on 6000m2 ...freaky ha. History inside from stone age to ancient to present, huge collection of things that you can't even imagine. Very organised and not expensive at all. If your visiting this region, do not skip the museums in Skopje.
  • Archaeological: a greek word Museum: a word of Greek origin Macedonia: a greek word All these are the title of a museum in a country that hates Hellenism, the heritage of Alexander the Great. A museum that instead of the Greek statues and inscriptions, has waxworks. Admire the museum of...Madame Tyssot of the Balkans!!! A museum in a country that hates its slavic origin and try desperately to prove that Philip, Alexander the Great, Aristotle, the Ptolemy's and so on were not Greeks but of Bulgarian origin!!!
  • This review is for the outside. Beautiful building, bridge, location. Did not go to this museum.
  • A "must visit" for every history & archaeology lover! A fantastic museum that boasts some real treasures. It is also housed in a beautiful building and it is very pleasantly designed, which contributes a lot to the experience. If you love history and archaeology - Don't miss it!
  • National Archaeological Museum of Macedonia houses some of the most important artifacts from a variety of archaeological locations around Macedonia from prehistory to medieval times. It is situated on the banks of river Vardar, next to Stone Bridge in the center of the city. The large building also houses the Constitutional Court and State Archives of Macedonia. A copy of the Alexander the Great's sarcophagus from the 4th century BC, whose original is on display at the Istanbul Archaeological Museum, will be one of the most attractive items in the new National Archaeological Museum in Skopje. Eye Bridge, situated between the Stone Bridge and the Art Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge which includes 28 sculptures and serves as a main entrance to the Museum.
