#1 of 110 in Things to do in Qatar
Flea Market Scenic Walking Area
Founded at the turn of the 20th century in a dried riverbed where Bedouin Arabs once traded wares, Souq Waqif remains a major marketplace providing access to a range of local goods. Frequented by locals and visitors, the market offers traditional clothing, handcrafted items, spices, and souvenirs, hosting many restaurants, cafes, and shisha lounges that serve Qatari, Yemeni, Syrian, and various other Middle Eastern cuisines. Check out the parts of the souq where domestic pets, like dogs, cats, turtles, and birds are sold, in addition to an area devoted to falcons and falconers. • I went in a free city tour of Qatar Airways. Guide me in story and in recent years, tourists for fallen and fixed it and is in good condition. It seems rather than Arabs who are working, or many people in South Asia. You can take a walk around time was about 30 minutes.

  • What a fantastic place to visit! Food available is out of this world. Name the cuisine and you get it. Love the architecture.
  • Awesome place. Great sight - place and people i mean. Very popular tourist destination. The food is amazing too. Plenty of options to go by. You will see many smoking a shisha with their coffee.
  • I love the Souq. The hassle and bustle is so unique. Shops offer a wide range of traditional and not so traditional goods. From fabric to sweets.
  • Just an amazing place to hang out. Takes you back to grandma the with all the grandma stuff you can find there. Restaurants are amazing. Very safe place.
  • A mixture of tourist and local attractions for shopping and dining, this is a recreation if the original Souk Wakif, the social and retail centre of Doha. It is easy to get lost in n the winding corridors send alleyways while admiring the many wares on display. Outside dining or coffee is popular when the temperature moderates. A must see while visiting Doha.
