Museum of Islamic Art, Doha

From the impressive collections to the awe-inspiring architecture by I.M. Pei, visitors to Museum of Islamic Art have plenty to look at. The building resembles a pile of boxes inspired by Islamic architecture, surrounded by gardens and paths offering views of the bay and Doha's skyline. The museum's collection includes samples of 1,400 years of jewelry, calligraphy, woodwork, textiles, metalwork, and manuscripts from all over the Islamic world. Within the museum, you'll find a library, gift shop, open prayer rooms, and a restaurant serving French-Mediterranean cuisine. Mashallah, very nice museum. So much art to explore and see. Need a whole day just to go through all the exhibitions on every floor! Amazing views and best part is that entrance is free for everyone! One of the best tourist attractions.

One of the great Museum ever I visited. The security staffs are very well behaved and friendly. Bag not allowed but we can take our cameras with us. Great museum, so many collections.
Spectacular! One of the most pretty museums in the world! Helpful friendly staff. Free entrance and free wifi. The architecture and lighting are breath taking. It got 3 floors, while the 4th is for temporary events. The restaurant is in 5th floor. Kids are allowed, but they wouldn't find any thing interesting!
I go back again and again. The collection is not too large, but there is always something to discover. Good program for an afternoon.
Great views and good place to take family visitors. The museum is largerl compared to the items it holds some of which are disappointing. The architecture, landscaping, views of corniche and the park all give the museum a much needed boost. The cafe and restaurant on the top floor further compliment it to push my rating to 4 stars.
