  • This is some way out of the city at the end of Education city. The opening times are a bit flakey and the exhibitions are hit and miss but overall it is interesting and the cafe and gift shop are good...  read more »
  • When we suggested going through this Museum, I was mystified, I had no idea it would be so cool. The facilities, lighting, ambiance, anyway. What pleased me most was the collection of sculptures. Have a sensational cafeteria.

  • Modern art Museum has always something new to offer. Artist from the entire world are displaying their art. Definitely recommend to visit
  • We went here two weeks ago. So my group basically 'secretly' evaluated this museum for our research paper and we're definitely giving them a low rating. Sorry but I am just being real. It was my second time and I had a bad experience. The location is far, terrible parking and the interior feels unsafe. We had a tour guide from the museum who is very knowledgeable about the arts but VERY rude to us. Although she explained the paintings and exhibits well, she is not approachable. We were called out for touching the exhibits but how come they do not have a "DO NOT TOUCH" sign? Like seriously. tho. They have a cafeteria with NO FOOD whatsoever. I feel bad that when I first came here, I had a really great experience but I dunno what happened. Its a shame that such beautiful exhibits would be tarnished by bad guests experience we had.
  • The best museum in Doha. Wished all the constructions were gone so more people could visit it.
  • As prommised the shuttle leaving exactly on the hour, I got dropped off in the middle of nowhere, the area was still heavily under construction. Creating a knowledge area with companies as Texas Instruments and a branch of Georgetown University. However the museum was the opposite of the expectation it raised; yes, the museum was modern, and had two nice piece’s but that was it. On the first floor there were some paintings form 5 different artists but not really related to Islamic art in my opinion. In other words not worth driving to for an hour.
  • The Mathaf is a fantastic museum, with innovative exhibitions, excellent research and education programs and facilities, expert and welcoming staff, and a dynamic approach to the role of artists and art in our society. I highly recommend anyone visiting the region to go to the Mathaf and see it for yourself.
  • Far away, whole area under construction so you is more than likely to be lost. In museum itself as of September 2014 there are only 3 pieces of art and gift shop. Not worth until it is properly operating museum !!!!
