  • I feel very glad I had the opportunity to visit this museum. It is modern and well organized. The themes of most of the exhibitions were related to today's topics of world politics, showing that Qatar...  more »
  • I was in the Mathaf, as a special exhibition was presented by Al Azzawi, it was just fantastic. But also the permanent exhibition one floor higher offers highly interesting modern painting.

  • Currently, construction is progressing towards the EduCation Center is about 30 minutes by car. Museum is open already. But unfortunately the area including park under construction, so there never is. Another two years even if this seems became so crowded with tourists. Staff in the cafés and souvenir shops. I like that completely follow the Islamic Art Museum. Because people are very few than Termini, the Islamic Art Museum you can see slowly.

  • As prommised the shuttle leaving exactly on the hour, I got dropped off in the middle of nowhere, the area was still heavily under construction. Creating a knowledge area with companies as Texas Instruments and a branch of Georgetown University. However the museum was the opposite of the expectation it raised; yes, the museum was modern, and had two nice piece’s but that was it. On the first floor there were some paintings form 5 different artists but not really related to Islamic art in my opinion. In other words not worth driving to for an hour.
  • Need to have an appointment before going
  • The best museum in Doha. Wished all the constructions were gone so more people could visit it.
  • The Mathaf is a fantastic museum, with innovative exhibitions, excellent research and education programs and facilities, expert and welcoming staff, and a dynamic approach to the role of artists and art in our society. I highly recommend anyone visiting the region to go to the Mathaf and see it for yourself.
  • Far away, whole area under construction so you is more than likely to be lost. In museum itself as of September 2014 there are only 3 pieces of art and gift shop. Not worth until it is properly operating museum !!!!
