  • Really not much to say, it's a Statue of the guy and it's tall and um green? If statue's are your thing you will be blown away, if not just check it off the list and keep on trucking.  more »
  • A point of interest statue to see while visiting Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Located near many other points of interest, that can be reached by walking. Worth walking by while exploring historic sights...  more »
  • The monument was erected in the square of San Jose. Ponce de Leon's contribution to the history of San Juan is very significant. He was one of the first conquistadors, companion of Christopher Columbus, the first Governor of the island. He died in the year 1521 and was buried in San Juan. The statue was cast already in 1882, from melted bronze guns, which the British attacked the city in the late 18th century. We see on the pedestal important Don, who with great dignity welcomed their descendants.
