Plaza Las Americas, San Juan

Shopping Mall · Hidden Gem · Shopping
The largest shopping mall in the Caribbean, Plaza Las Americas boasts nearly 300 stores, from the anchor stores of major brands such as Macy's and Sears to specialty stores of local artisans. Decorated with fountains and sculptures, this site becomes the venue of large farmers market and local artisan fair every weekend. Look for homemade treats and handcrafted goods from the island on the third floor. Plaza features more than 40 restaurants and eateries, a video arcade, and a movie theater with the latest releases (most run in English with Spanish subtitles). • Always the premier shopping location. Great variety. Plenty of places to eat. Cinemas. Lots of parking spaces but gets crowded at peak times.

  • Great Mall an oasis of Americana with a Latin cold air conditioning wear long pants and sleeves or be brief. Immaculate by comparison to the rest of the island that has not quite returned after the hurricane.
  • Huge mall and my favorite because the extensive stores. The eating area is also great you can either get a light meal or sit and relax at one of the restaurants. My favorite area to visit is the local artisans selling all their handmade items and authentic Puerto Rican food. I recommend it.
