Landmark
As one of the main squares in San Juan, Plaza de Armas often serves as a meeting point for both locals and tourists. The square is dominated by an impressive round fountain, surrounded by four statues that personify the four seasons. When you arrive, look for the city hall on the north side; the Department of State building sits to the west. If you have time, get a coffee from one of the stands and sit under the shady trees to watch passersby. A visit to Plaza de Armas represents just the start of the adventure when you use our San Juan vacation route planner to plot your vacation.

  • Spanish styled square.
  • Lovely place
  • Wander the streets of old San Juan you will find the main square. Between is located Fortaleza and San Francisco streets. It was the ancient plaza Mayor because there the Spanish troops practiced military exercises.
