Parque de las Palomas, San Juan
(4.1/5 based on 140 reviews on the web)
Bird lovers appreciate Parque de las Palomas, a picturesque park where a variety of pigeons are known to gather. The park attracts pigeons of all colors, shapes, and sizes, often in large groups. Unlike with some other parks, here you’re encouraged to feed the birds. You can buy some feed from one of the local vendors in the vicinity. While there, pay attention to the park’s trees--many are worth examining because of their twisted trunks and unusual shape. Put Parque de las Palomas at the forefront of your travel plans using our San Juan trip builder.

  • Yes it's a landmark and it does have a view of the bay but for me there is nothing charming about seeing lots and lots of pigeons.
  • Is a parquet very small but very clean, there is a beautiful tree where the pigeons are stopped and a wall with recobecos where the pigeons hide but overlook watching us, keep it in very good condition to have pigeons there all the time, worth go and take pictures, take some bread because ONLY there can give you eat pigeon wings any allow another Park. Is that why there are concentrated all. Wonderful experience, and just before arriving there is a very narrow street where there are several restaurants that have small tables to recomnedable outdoors, sit down and have a beer or ice cream you will always find wandering through all the streets of San Juan

  • A must to visit place in the Old San Juan yes near LA Capilla de Cristo and LA Fortaleza, the governor house. Excellent views of the Bay.
  • One of the best spots to view the port of San Juan, including the Coast Guard base. You can be fully involved with the prodigious pigeon population, or skirt the crazy poopers and just enjoy the view. I love the little chapel right next to it, it is one of my favorite corners in OSJ. Que linda!
  • Very cool area of San Juan. Lots of stores to shop. Very busy and parking is difficult for larger vehicles. You may be able to see a guy with an iguana that he will let you take pictures with. You can buy bird food to feed the pigeons in the park that has signs that says don't feed the birds :D
  • Everytime I visit Puerto Rico I always stop by here. You can feed the pigeons and it's a great photo op. They do not sell any food to feed the pigeons anymore so bring your own.
  • Beautiful view and an opportunity to feed pigeons and take some great photos! Make sure to cover up your arms or you will get a few scratches from the pigeons.
