Museo de Las Americas, San Juan

(4.4/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Museo de Las Americas serves as an art museum dedicated to the Native American tribes from all over the Americas. Observe exhibits detailing the different peoples from around the Americas and where they originated from and lived. A highlight is the bronze castings and statues that display prominent figures from specific tribes. Another room's exhibits display folk art of the indigenous people with several examples. A separate display room focuses on Puerto Rico (instead of the Americas as a whole) and gives a great walkthrough of the indigenous people's history. • Beautiful artifacts. Great history on how we came to be what we are today in the Americas. I enjoyed in particular, the history of the Taino Indians and Puerto Rico.
  • It's just amazing! Indians, africans, and colonization are the must. It wan't crowded in the early morning, so people over-watching the exhibitions were guiding us and providing us additional information.
  • Very well done. Interesting and informative
  • Not really much here.. it's an enh museum.. maybe get air conditioning.. sit down at one of the videos.. otherwise $6 and time seem wasted..
