  • The best mixed drinks I have ever had after the tour and history lesson of Bacardi. A great story of difficulty and over coming them to become the king of rum.
  • We took this tour on Saturday morning before heading to the cruise ship. We had read reviews and knew that on the historical tour we would not be going through the distillery. That was was tour we decided to take based on the time we had and the tastes of our group. The $15 seemed reasonable. We were very pleased with Karla our guide. She was funny, gave us great information, and had a wonderful experience. She didn't rush us and answered all of our questions. We enjoyed our drink at the bar and we got to take home our glasses as souvenirs. As an added bonus, the hotel where we stayed gave us a ticket for an extra gift which was a pair of Bacardi sunglasses. Great Tour!
  • I would give 5/5 but the museum was kinda hard to find because there weren't a lot of signs to guide us there, and we had to stop and ask for directions. We chose the cheapest tour option and it was a lot of fun. I'm 19 so it was cool to be able to get a drink legally, since I can't at home. Our tour guide was very nice and his English was great which made the tour enjoyable. They have a few cute little photo booths to take pictures sent to your email, which are a nice souvineer to have. They also have a place in the gift shop where you can fill your own souvineer bottle of rum and get it engraved that is really cool!
  • Real in depth history about the humble beginnings of Bacardi. I didn't know they started in Cuba before moving to PR. Highly recommend the mixology tour. Eric, you're an awesome tour guide... keep up the good work, dude. For the gear heads reading this, Cummins Caribbean is right next door.
  • The “Disney Land” for rum Lovers. The Bacardi distillery tour was one of the best and informative tours I have had. I’ve been to several distillery tours around the U.S. and I have to say that the tour guides were well-informed of the history of Bacardi. If you have never thought about Bacardi rum past the bottle, this tour is for you. It will make you think and appreciate Bacardi more than before. I learned more than I expected and was greatly impressed with the friendliness of the staff and how much they knew. The history behind Bacardi in Puerto Rico is an interesting one and the tour brings it to life. The tour offers one drink per guest which allow you to choose from a variety of drinks before the tour and the drinks are made on site by professional bar tenders. The scenery is like being at the beach which is great for couples and families. There are three different tours to choose from, since I was traveling with my wife and two kids I was only able to take the tour that gave the history of Bacardi, which was perfect for me. The other two tours are a Rum tasting tour and a Mixology tour which I hear are both great. The tour walked you through the history of the company and how it was formed and how Puerto Rico produces (about) 85% of Bacardi’s Rum. Then there is an area where they explain how the Rum is made and then you get to smell the different flavors of each type of rum (regular to limited edition). It sounds strange but it was actually really cool. But the best part about the tour for me was at the end. The tour guide ended in a room that looked like an old private bar from the 40’s. This is where the tour guide presents you with the opportunity to buy a limited edition bottle of Bacardi rum produced and barreled right there in the factory. For a price you can have it custom engraved and you can pour and seal the bottle yourself. I immediately jumped on the opportunity but my wife got there first and bought the experience for me. If you have never bottled and sealed your own bottle of 10-20 year old rum, you need too. For the price you get to label the bottle, certificate of authenticity, sign a log of your bottle that Bacardi logs, a sample from the barrel, and a case to hold it all in. Millie, the lady that walked me through the process was extremely nice and helpful. You could tell that she understood how this was a one of a kind experience and allowed my wife to film and take pictures of the event. At one point she even took a few pictures for us. I walked away from the Bacardi Distillery shocked that I have never visited it before. I have been to Puerto Rico several times and have always pasted it up, never again. The Bacardi Distillery has plenty of rum’s to choose from but it also has limited edition rums that you can only get in Puerto Rico. If you love rum like I do and you’re in Puerto Rico you need to go to the Bacardi Distillery. And when you visit make sure to buy the limited edition bottle and have Millie help you pour the bottle, you won’t be sorry.
  • Rum Tour was great! Heavy tasting, very classy. One fund drink tickets at the start so get there early to enjoy it and take pictures with the fun props they have.
