Isla de Caja de Muertos, Ponce

4.6
Feel the soft sand under your feet at Isla de Caja de Muertos, a quintessential Caribbean beach. Dive in the sea, and allow the serene ambiance and tropical vegetation surrounding the beach to make you feel completely disconnected from the outer world--after all, this island is completely uninhabited. When you visit this natural reserve, bring your own food and refreshments and make sure you don't leave any litter behind. Highlights include a hike to the nearby lighthouse, which offers perhaps the island's finest views. • This island is a natural spectacle! 100% recommended but take into account that Puerto Rico is another after Hurricane Maria! 1. the ship Island Venture is now smaller you can't take very large refrigerators and fits less people in the boat! 2. the bridge to disembark in dead box is not enabled so toca disembark at sea swim to the shore and carry tables everything you've taken to spend the day on the beach, carries an airtight bag so you can safely carry your equipment ele ctronicos. 3. If you plan to go with older people think about it 2 times landing may be very uncomfortable. 4. the walk to the Lighthouse is not enabled the hurricane destroyed the road and cactus there is what makes it dangerous. 5. the Island Venture team offers you the possibility to buy hot dogs and snacks, as well as beverages, but touches your swim to the boat to go out to eat. 6. the unloading is slow and boarding also what you steal valuable minutes of enjoyment, thanked Island Venture have reactivated and we know the efforts that this entails, the care is optimal, but the price is the same before Hurricane $55 per perso na and if food include Deluxe $70 plus tax and the conditions of the island as well as boat, as comfort of disembarkation are not the same in fact has an important deterioration, so I recommend you to revise its prices!

Where to stay in Ponce

Hotels in Ponce cluster close to Plaza Degetau, in the heart of the downtown area. Located right on the square itself, upscale hotels offer spa facilities, restaurants, and swanky cocktail bars. If you're looking for something a little more budget-friendly, check out the little side streets that feed off the main commercial drags in the this central district. Family-run guesthouses and budget inns are the most common places to stay in this range, offering little by way of extra facilities, but an ideal position close to the main tourist attractions.
