  • I recently visited the Castle, the cross of el Vigía and the Japanese Garden one Sunday, while in the garden I lost my RayBand glasses, I thought someone found them and left them to be. When I got to my house I noticed that in a photo taken in the garden were the glasses and in the next (in the same area) he had them by what they figured that they had fallen into the water. I called on Monday and told them what had happened to me and it wasn't half an hour were calling me to tell me that they had removed them from the pond and that could happen to collect them and made all arrangements to collect them next Sunday (the only day that could happen) even if the Museum would be closed. I already have my glasses! While on the tour at the Museum someone previous travel lost a few glasses and in all areas of the castle we visited the staff investigating if the owner was located in that area. It is a highly efficient, committed and caring staff in addition to the beauty of the Castle and all its areas.

  • Excellent for family trip!!! Great view of Ponce!!! Nice historic site from the Serrales Family!!! great spot for pictures
  • I recently visited this place at El Vigía, in Ponce,Puerto Rico. We took the tour which I strongly recommend. The place is spectacular and the view breathtaking.
  • Awesome view of the city. Piña coladas was delish on a hot day. Tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable of history. Very thorough.
  • Was hoping to learn more about my favorite rum Don Q but the tour is just the history of the family repeated over and over. No pictures are allowed inside the house/castle. The tour also isn't very long and the ticket to get in was not cheap. It seemed more like an infomercial to get more money out of us. The very first thing they show is a video on having weddings, birthday parties and grad parties at the estate and then in the middle of the tour you're taken into a room with very modern art and told by the guide all the work is for sale. The gift shop has very little to offer. My dad was hoping to get a Don Q hat similar to the bartenders we have seen at bars but we were unable to find really any Don Q merch. Left feeling very dissatisfied and disappointed.
  • No pictures allowed of the inside. Looks much like a fancy rich persons house. Contains a lot of the history of puerto ricos early sugar cane industry and the rich proprietors.
  • The grounds are beautiful and the house is enormous. Everything is well maintained. You can only walk around the inside of the house on a tour, you cannot wander through at your own speed, which was a little disappointing. The tour starts out with a video that is 50% informative and 50% an advertisement. Our tour guide was very nice and very knowledgeable. The tour price is only 8 bucks, so I think it was good value for money
  • Meh. The tour is not self-guided, which means you don't really get much time at all with the various exhibits. The grounds are beautiful and are excellently maintained. The interior of the house is gorgeous, and the craftsmanship is fun to observe. The price was reasonable for the experience, and is definitely a good deal when combined with the observation tower and japanese gardens.
