Nice place to enjoy ice cream or coffee from the corner, the only thing that disturbs is that a lot of beggers come around you.

Old Spanish style plaza just in front of the City Hall and the Mayagüez Catherdral, originally built in 1763 a wooden structure, after several reconstructions through out the centuries, the masonry structure we see today was finished in 1922.
Lovely place. I recommend having a coffee in Friends Cafe or if you want something cold there is ice cream near.
Beautiful area with small local coffee kiosk. Many places to sit and relax.
Don't miss cathedral, casa alcaldia, and definitely have ice cream at the Rex Cream, family owned and operated for 30yrs, 100%delicious!
