Carabali Rainforest Park, Luquillo

4.6
#1 of 14 in Things to do in Luquillo
Head to Carabali Rainforest Park for jungle adventures on horseback, ATV, or on the Go Kart track. A great activity for the kids, the two-hour horse trek takes you through a rich rainforest environment, with guides well-versed in the plant and animal life of the area. You don't need any experience to join in the activities, as you’ll be taught all you need to know before you head out. If you’re looking for more of an adrenaline rush, take one of the ATVs for a spin. Be prepared to get very muddy as you head on trails crossing rivers and traversing through jungles, and consider bringing a change of clothes. Carabali Rainforest Park has weighed heavy on my mind since Hurricane Maria ravaged Puerto Rico around the 19th and 20th of September! I surprised my daughter with a horseback riding excursion around ...  more »

I did the 2-hour ATV ride on a solo trip to PR. It was amazing time! They will pick you up from a general location to take you out to the forest. My tour guide John was so nice and would take all the ...  more »

PROS: 1. Customer service was ok. 2. For horse back riding they get booked very quickly, so booking online is best. 3. Louis who is the tour guide for horse back riding. You must wear closed toe shoes. 4. The tour was an hour long and there are many sites to see. 5. The go karts were great. You must wear glasses to protect your eyes. 6. They have a gift shop. 7. The waiters in the restaurant are very sweet and accommodating. CONS: The horses seem to be completely tired. They say they switch out the horses throughout the day, but I felt like I was being cruel to the animal whole riding. They don't beat the horse for it to move, but after all the rides they give, the horses seem fatigued.

Fun place to visit. Did hour horse back and an hour ATV. Both were great in different ways as you would expect. ATVs were a bit more adventurous, and horses were more authentic and let you take in the views more. Overall would recommend.

Good prices for ATV and UTV, I did both one after the other. The guides give you a concise explanation of what to expect and how to use the equipment. You follow a single file and ram through the roads. It's a lot of fun, expect to be covered in mud. They give you two quick breaks in order for them to check your machine while you take pics. The 1st break took place at an elevated hill overseeing a large part of the forest... They allowed you to take pictures as they checked out the equipment you are using. The second break took place by a creek, where they allowed you to bathe. You also have the option to ride a Caribbean horse (they do not galop but trot). Wear jeans you don't care about and water shoes or tennis shoes you don't mind tossing away, wear a bandana like a bandit and some goggles if you are interested in the ATVs. Please come with ID.... At the end some of the guides will suggest a tip. The owner also has a restaurant if you feel famished after these activities.

Just WOW!! Our guides Joey and Anthony were awesome. They were funny, friendly and even let us pose and they took the best pictures for us. The landscape was amazing. Once you get up the side of the mountain and experience the absence of city noise and take in the beauty of this rainforest, you will definitely want to come back

Joshua was fantastic! My husband and I were on our honeymoon and decided to take the two hour horse back riding tour in the rainforest. He had so much personality. We all got along really well and had an awesome time! He also recommended eating at their restaurant, one of the best places we ate while in PR. Thank you!
