  • Located on the grounds of (and connectd to) the Ritz Carleton SJ, this is one of the more high-end casinos in San Juan. Offering a range of table games and slots in a smaller luxe environment.
  • We were in Puerto Rico during the power outage and were fortunate enough to get to visit the Ritz-Carlton in San Juan. We enjoyed thee casino and the service was outstanding
  • Considering the closing of quite a few casinos this is the better of the two that are open!! Although I would no walk there at night!! It is larger than the embasssy suites
  • This was an unforgettable vacation! From the moment my family and I arrived at the Ritz-Carlton, Jean-Pierre, the doorman, greeted us with the biggest smile and welcomed us to the hotel. He was not only professional but truly took the time to get to know us. From there we had the pleasure to meet Juan and Yanira at the front desk, their attention to detail and welcoming feeling from these two employees was warm and genuine, they made sure to accommodate us with the best room for our family. After completing our check in which included refreshing Guava Mimosas, my family and I went up to our room which had an amazing view of the ocean and the pool area. Also, I must mention the wonderful breakfast buffet at Ocean Grill! I truly recommend it! You are served unlimited Mimosas and amazing selection of coffee's, you get to choose from 30 variations of latte's and cappuccinos and made to order omelets. Yum! Also, we had the pleasure to be served by Cesar, he is very friendly, professional, always greeted us with a great smile went out of his way to accommodate the kids requests for waffles or pancakes each morning. Also he gave us some great tips of the best places to dine and visit around the Island. Overall this hotel fulfilled our expectations, it's not only beautiful and with amazing service but the location is prime. We will definitely return... asap!
  • Stayed for the first week in August. Hotel wasn't very full. Never been to a Ritz Carlton before, but knew it was supposed to be upper tier. The lobby staff was nice and friendly. Visually, the hotel looks nice, but the room we stayed in was quite average and comparable to a much less expensive hotel. One day, room service came in and changed the bed sheets to ones with holes and blood stains. They were also inconsistent with replacing towels. As for furniture, beds were comfortable but way too small. Tables and cabinets were banged up with some pieces missing. Some of the door handles would regularly get stuck. Also, for what you're paying, you'd expect the TV to have more channels, or at least high definition. The hotel has plenty of restaurants and bars, but be prepared to spend three times your room in food and bar tabs if you eat/drink there. Some of the servers are a little odd, too. We had one waiter that made my whole family feel very uncomfortable with his awkward personality. As for other servers, I know English isn't their first language (usually), but they often forget small requests for drinks or silverware. Still very friendly and personable, though. Hint: There's a Walgreens within walking distance where you can buy whole bottles Bacardi for $10, as opposed to a single cocktail from the bar for $15. The pool and beach are beautiful and a great place to hang out during the day. The hotel staff sets up chairs and umbrellas and even brings you clean towels without asking. The outdoor bar has servers walking around that will bring you food and drinks. The casino is like any other casino, full of slot machine playing old ladies. But a casino is a casino and it'll be enjoyable to those who like gambling. Lastly, don't miss the opportunity to get out and see what Puerto Rico has to offer. It's a nice tropical island with a lot of history. The hotel has taxis waiting at the front door, just don't expect a complimentary ride.
  • Ritz Carlton is well known for their service but we had very bad experience in this specific hotel. Will never go there. We were by the pool and wanted to get info to rent out those pavilions by the pool. One of the employe ( his name is Tous) answered very unprofessionally "Do u know it's 500/day". Anyway we ended up getting it and our server was good and food was good as well. Prices were not that high. Again I had to go to the bar by the pool and had to deal with this bartender Carlito. I would say Carlito shouldn't be working there. I asked to make my margarita in a way and he made it his own way, didn't shake at all and told me" that's how we make it here" I just left. The third night we had a roach in our room and I came to front desk. The guy Brian did offer me another room but it was 12:41 at night. Just to let u know they were charging us 200 upgrade fees for each night and didn't compensate us with anything. Now I see there is one mistake in my bill too. Very bad taste. Those who reading this please have faith on Ritz Carlton but not this specific one. Employees here need a lot of training. Very bad taste. Plz try to avoid this Ritz Carlton
  • Day 3 and everything is top notch. The staff is beyond what we expected. Upgrading to club level is so worth it. I'll keep this short and sweet then post a final review when we leave Saturday. Thank you Ritz Carlton for exceeding our expectations.
  • My husband, my daughter and I spent two weeks in August 2016 and we have only great things to say about the service. Disregarding the training the employees may have, they are nice and helpful beyond their duties. The room was clean and comfortable, the facilities are old, which is the only not so positive thing, but well maintained. Even the hair dryer is the kind you want to have. We want to especially thank Noelia, Maria, Elinor and Esteban from the bar for making us feel at home and for the snack they gave us for our trip back. The cleaning lady was incredibly patient, we usually left the room very late. The lady who came in the evening provided us with everything we needed, even chocolates and a great smile. Unfortunately we donĀ“t remember their names, shame on us.
