Surfers love Jobos Beach, which boasts excellent conditions for catching some waves. While the high, consistent currents make the beach unsuitable for snorkeling or swimming, the waves combined with the shallow depth make the beach a favorite for surfers. Less adventurous visitors can bring a kite along to take advantage of the breeze, or relax on the soft golden sands with a picnic. Since this doesn't count as a public beach, lifeguards don't patrol the area; approach swimming with caution and keep a vigilant eye on younger members of the family. Due to a lack of changing facilities, visitors normally make do with changing behind the area's abundant trees. This beach is great because there is a big rock formation that protect the right portion of the beach while the open left side have nice wave for surfers. more »

As a Native & a Tourist, this is the most beautiful place to be. The water so clear and the sand so clean... it's no wonder Islanders from all over the island come to enjoy.

Best surf break in the winter and the best place to learn to surf and hang in the summer. Beware of the current, even when the water looks calm and beautiful dont go too far out as it tends to sweep you pass the rock into the surf. If this happens keep calm and use the waves to push you back in. Talk to the locals and don't drink and swim. Enjoy paradise responsibly!

So pretty. The shop owners are nice and welcoming, so much better than Crash Boat.

Pure Heaven on Earth, awesome Atmosphere everywhere🏄. Friendly town that promotes Satisfaction!

Great beach, and perfect for beginner surfers. My recommendation is to get out there really really early before 10:30 a.m. so that you avoid the huge crowds and parking issues.
