Stroll along the boardwalks of Malecon, with sea and sand on one side and charming local shops and restaurants on the other. Local artisans sell their craft throughout the day along this boardwalk, with plenty of tasty spots to eat or to enjoy beachside cocktails. The clear calm waters make it great for snorkelling and swimming, or lie back on the golden sands and catch some rays. Enjoy a saunter in the cooling breeze as the sun sets across a selection of bars hosting your evening's entertainment. • Even though we went during the "off season" we had the most amazing time with everyone on the island! Staying at the Malecon House was fantastic!  more »
  • So I came her to eat because i was at caracas beach where there were no restaurants. From the looks, there was only one restaurant open. Granted, we didn't really walk that much around, we kinda went ...  more »
  • My wife and I were stranded in Vieques when Booking.com overbooked us at El Blok. Malecon was the only hotel with vacancy, and while the stay was not on the inexpensive side, we had a great experience...  more »

  • Excellent place to stay in the Esperanza neighborhood of Vieques. Clean and upscale rooms with balconies, refrigerators and AC. Continental breakfast is served every morning with your stay. Colette, the manager, is amazing. She was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. This property is in walking distance of four restaurants and the beach. Duffy's and Banana's were my favorite.
  • My wife and I had an incredible stay at Malecón House. It’s simplistic but refreshing, with just what you need. The owner Fred was very nice and gave us all his best tips for the area. It’s 5 stars on here for a reason. A must stay!
  • I stayed at El Maecon House in June and it was an awesome experience which will be repeated. Colette is the hotel manager and she was so helpful and pleasant. The hotel is equipped with everything you could possibly need for the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, coolers and even ice. The rooms were super clean and Sunbay beach was in close proximity to the hotel. I definitely recommend staying at this location!
  • It is a pretty little hotel, with a wonderful sea view, but the best is its cleanest and the employees are amazing. The manager putz all her efforts to please every guest. I recommend Malecon House to every one who wants to stay in the better place at La Esperanza.
  • Our stay here was fabulous. Every morning you are provided with an assortment of baked goods, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. They don't hesitate to help you with tasks like finding a rental car, taxi or a good local spot to eat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if/when we return to Vieques. And there is not a shortage of gorgeous beaches to go to nearby. At times you might be the only one out there too. Who doesn't love a secluded Caribbean beach?
