  • This "boardwalk" area is a sidwalk area that looks out over the ocean, with wonderful resturants and small shops across the street.
  • Lots of hustlers running about trying to sell you trouble. The restaurants are great, drink in moderation. i had a few too many, a punk on bike gave it try. He accidentally landed on his head. I got a...  more »
  • We enjoyed our walk along the Malecon, but don't assume it will be like Havana's Malecon. I'd say this one is a quarter mile. We did see a charming black pig running alone a nearby street.

  • My wife and I have stayed at Malecon House twice and loved it each time. We love the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and especially the beautiful view at breakfast out front. The hosts are lovely people and went above and beyond to accommodate a work emergency for me, during their dinner no less! We cannot recommend this place enough. If serene and inviting is what you are looking for then Malecon House is absolutely for you. Looking forward visiting again! Say hello to my friend Coqui for me. PS - As a very welcome perk, the owners of the guest house have small coolers, folding chairs, umbrellas, and even some snorkel equipment they allow guests to borrow and take with them on their daily adventures to the beaches free of charge. I thought that was a very nice touch.
  • Clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious rooms, and right down the road from great food and that perfect island atmosphere. Cannot beat the view!! Would not hesitate to return.
  • Wonderful stay. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the view was incredible. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, I would highly recommend!
  • We stayed here for a week and loved it. The whole place is relatively new and well-kept. We stayed in the room Buena Vista, which had plenty of room and a nice view of the ocean. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable of the island. Highly recommend.
  • We spent a week there and it was absolutely wonderful. This Inn is new, as clean as can be, with wonderful accommodations. There's even a library on the second floor. The breakfasts are everything you need to get you through the morning and even lunch. You will not find a nicer place unless you want to pay for the W Resort on the other side of the island. Beautiful place staffed by absolutely wonderful people. It's a 5 star hotel at a 3 star price.
