Stroll along the boardwalks of Malecon, with sea and sand on one side and charming local shops and restaurants on the other. Local artisans sell their craft throughout the day along this boardwalk, with plenty of tasty spots to eat or to enjoy beachside cocktails. The clear calm waters make it great for snorkelling and swimming, or lie back on the golden sands and catch some rays. Enjoy a saunter in the cooling breeze as the sun sets across a selection of bars hosting your evening's entertainment. My wife and I have stayed at Malecon House twice and loved it each time. We love the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and especially the beautiful view at breakfast out front. The hosts are lovely people and went above and beyond to accommodate a work emergency for me, during their dinner no less! We cannot recommend this place enough. If serene and inviting is what you are looking for then Malecon House is absolutely for you. Looking forward visiting again! Say hello to my friend Coqui for me. PS - As a very welcome perk, the owners of the guest house have small coolers, folding chairs, umbrellas, and even some snorkel equipment they allow guests to borrow and take with them on their daily adventures to the beaches free of charge. I thought that was a very nice touch.
We stayed here for a week and loved it. The whole place is relatively new and well-kept. We stayed in the room Buena Vista, which had plenty of room and a nice view of the ocean. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable of the island. Highly recommend.
The worst experience in my life! Tourist stay away! The owners live on the property and they are extremely rude. They should not run this kind of business. The most horrible people that I met in my life. Seems like all of the good reviews were bought. I would give zero stars for their service and attitude.
We spent a week there and it was absolutely wonderful. This Inn is new, as clean as can be, with wonderful accommodations. There's even a library on the second floor. The breakfasts are everything you need to get you through the morning and even lunch. You will not find a nicer place unless you want to pay for the W Resort on the other side of the island. Beautiful place staffed by absolutely wonderful people. It's a 5 star hotel at a 3 star price.
My husband & I stayed at the Malecon House for five nights beginning Feb 14th. This is our second stay and we will be back. There was an issue late one night where several 20 + year olds were very loud waking up the guests and the owners handled it very professionally. They even apologized the next day to their guest. (I saw a bad review posted during this time which I am sure was from this disgruntled group so do not let it influence your decision to stay here, you will regret it! )The B & B is very clean with all the amenities you need for an island stay, i.e, ice chest, beach towels, chairs, noodles, games and more. We have travel the US and Europe and stayed at a lot of Bed & Baths and these are some of the most professional owners and a great place to stay!
