Stroll along the boardwalks of Malecon, with sea and sand on one side and charming local shops and restaurants on the other. Local artisans sell their craft throughout the day along this boardwalk, with plenty of tasty spots to eat or to enjoy beachside cocktails. The clear calm waters make it great for snorkelling and swimming, or lie back on the golden sands and catch some rays. Enjoy a saunter in the cooling breeze as the sun sets across a selection of bars hosting your evening's entertainment. Lots of bars and places to eat, perfect to go bar hopping for happy hour. Check menus at the door before going in or just go for it! I would always recommend local places over Americanized places. Loo... more »
Definitely check out this cute little street. Great views, lots of restaurants and tourism shacks with all kinds of activities~ more »
It pretty much has every meal of the day there. And the restaurants all look out onto the water making it very picturesque, and there will always be the friendly dogs who wander around it. Even if you... more »
I highly recommend staying at Malecón House. We were thinking of staying at the W Hotel and so glad we decided not to. The location of Malecón House is perfect with many restaurants and a beautiful beach to walk to. We rented a jeep and they offered free parking. It was the perfect central location to drive to all the beaches in the area. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. They offered everything we could need: beach towels, coolers, ice, sunscreen, bug spray, aloe, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely go back!
Lovely hotel. The owners were so nice and very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and see nearby. Breakfast is continental but very nice options. Good A/C, comfortable beds. Would definitely come back
A fantastic hotel. Accommodations and amenities are top-rate. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-styled. The open air layout makes the most of the island environment. Location is also convenient to local restaurants and the water. I will continue to stay at Malecon House for every visit.
Friendly staff, clean, right scross from the beach, beautiful view and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
My wife and I have stayed at Malecon House twice and loved it each time. We love the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and especially the beautiful view at breakfast out front. The hosts are lovely people and went above and beyond to accommodate a work emergency for me, during their dinner no less! We cannot recommend this place enough. If serene and inviting is what you are looking for then Malecon House is absolutely for you. Looking forward visiting again! Say hello to my friend Coqui for me. PS - As a very welcome perk, the owners of the guest house have small coolers, folding chairs, umbrellas, and even some snorkel equipment they allow guests to borrow and take with them on their daily adventures to the beaches free of charge. I thought that was a very nice touch.
