La Coca Falls, El Yunque National Forest

(3.7/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Observe a 26 m (85 ft) falls flanked by rainforest on both sides when you visit La Coca Falls. Easily accessible once you enter the El Yunque National Park, the water cascades down the rocks and crashes onto the boulders at the base. Head here early to get clear pictures of the falls and the surrounding rainforest with fewer tourists. Resist the urge to climb the rocks, even for better pictures, as they are very slippery. Plan your visit to La Coca Falls and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our El Yunque National Forest trip builder.

  • We found La Mina to be much more impressive on our hike. Maybe it was just the day we came, but it was just like a small trickle down the side of a rock face. I'd probably skip it next time.  more »
  • Looked pretty cool and took some pictures but would not be worthy of a special trip without seeing something else as well. Was at least easy to see as it was right along the road!  more »
  • La Coca falls are big and picturesque, but they are not worth more than a 2 minute stop or even a drive-by. The challenge is there are big rocks which make the water inaccessible unlike the La Mina fa...  more »
