Carlos Rosario Beach, Culebra
(4.4/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Escape the crowds of other nearby beaches with a visit to Carlos Rosario Beach, a remote area with excellent opportunities for snorkeling. You'll immediately notice the colorful barrier reef that surrounds the shore seemingly on all sides; head south of the beach along the cliffs for truly spectacular snorkeling with biodiverse marine life. Do exercise caution, since water taxis and powerboats use the channel adjacent to the shore. If snorkeling isn't for you, take advantage of the secluded nature of this beach to tuck into a book with a refreshing drink. Work out when and for how long to visit Carlos Rosario Beach and other Culebra attractions using our handy Culebra tour planner.

  • Very small beach on the East side, Tamarindo and Flamingo Beach: cute, but small and without services. Not is the first option.

  • Beautiful beach, a little hard to find (do not stop at the Tamarindo plagette but continue further on the path to find the beach). Once you have the bathing area on the sand (in turquoise) and the reef area, completely on the right when you are facing the sea. Reef huge and gorgeous! Obeservation possible shark nurses, of eagle rays (if you're lucky) and highly diverse fish (Angels, butterflies, parrots...). A pleasure for the eyes! Be just careful because there is a tendency to move away quickly from the edge by following the fish. It is strongly recommended the mosquito repellent for round-trip journeys.
