Playa Sucia, Cabo Rojo
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Playa Sucia celebrates the Caribbean and nature. Reserve a spot with some shade under a tree and listen to the ocean breeze and waves crashing on the shore. A short hike to the nearby lighthouse grants an unmatched view of the surrounding limestone cliffs and natural bridges. On the beach itself there are no restrooms, nor are there any vendors, so bring your own food and snacks. There also are no lifeguards stationed here, so be sure to supervise children accordingly. To better enjoy the experience, I recommend going on weekdays, when there are very few people and you only hear the sound of the waves and the wind. On a weekend, you'd have to arrive at 9 am, when they open the gate, after that is filled. They say dirty Beach because he throws many algae on sand, but dirty do not have nothing. Sand and water pristine, and a view spectacular, with the lighthouse visible in a promontory hand right. The road to reach the beach is also very interesting, with the first salt and then with its mangrove forests on one side and the other, a dry forest vegetation. I recommend it widely.show original
