  • After the death of D. Manuel II, in 1932, it was the Foundation of the House of Braganza and this Ducal Palace opens to the public. Unthinkable is what you see in this Palace without waiting; furniture, paintings, rugs, tableware, furnishing... all perfectly preserved. If you come to the Alentejo, don't come to Vila Viçosa and visit the Ducal Palace and the impressive square, worthy of a great city. Guided visit in Portuguese for only €7

  • The House of Braganza heritage very well esteemed. The Palace and beautiful! And our story (of Portugal) as rich and told by a very nice guide and Ragtime that leads throughout the visit. We recommend!

  • Mandatory for anyone interested in the history of Portugal. Classical music concerts in the Chapel, every last Friday of each month.
