  • Admittedly, we are port lovers. So, it was a thrill to take our group of friends to Cockburn's for an in-depth port wine experience. Our guide, Gabriel, is passionate about the story behind Cockburn's...  more »
  • The visit to the caves of the Cockburns was very interesting. We were with Felipe guide that made us a full tour on some details about the production of port wine: cockburns fine white, tawny and ruby. It is recommended that all kinds of people.

  • We bought a mini tourist office tourist ticket that included the open top bus and 3 wineries of your choice in the list. We went to this that is a bit more to one side than the other on the banks of the river Duero. So glad that we chose so: oak barrels, driving in any language including Italian, all very well cared for and eventually port wine tastings with different flavorings or seasoning really very good. In the end we bought so many bottles and one of these was opened in the hotel to greet a beautiful city, but above all a great getaway.

  • Very new and very authentic at the same time. The guides are very knowlegable and nice. The wines are very good. If you are there, take the tasting with Tawny 20, you won't regret it...
  • Our last day in Porto (Tuesday 11.07.2017), decided to see where our favorite Port wine is made. Their place was refurbished 2 days ago. Our guide Gabriel was excellent (explained everything in detail). The wine tasting was brilliant. Would I recommend it??? ABSOLUTELY YES!!!! Couldn't buy wine (no checked luggage) but all the wines are cheaper than in Duty Free and there is variety too. if you have checked luggage buy it from here. (will order my wines online)
  • we visited the recently refurbished winery on a city tour, our guide was excellent and well informed. the winery itself is impressive and the largest collection of single barrels I've seen so far (6000+) not including the big barrels. the tasting was great and we bought a few bottles afterwards. the only negative was that we were rushed through the initial part of the winery tour, they where very busy and there was a radio crew doing interviews etc so I'll assume it's not normally like that.
  • Discovered a new Porto. Very good. Bought a bottle and a collared shirt. A bit of a hard climb to get there, however.
  • Great port wine tour. Very friendly guide. Impressive cellars. Nice range of port wines to taste afterwards.
