  • Visited with some friends and did the 4.00 p.m. tour in English. The tour is very informative whilst not being too long, our tour expert clearly loved her job! At the end you get to taste 3 fantastic ...  more »
  • Didn't visit the cellars but instead went straight to a port tasting. Various options to choose and we had 5 different ports for 10 euro. The glass size are good and the ports are tried in a set order...  more »
  • (Unfortunately in german available) very interesting guided tour of the House and the cellar with many anecdotes and information about the founder of Ramos Pinto. Start is at the Museum of the House, continues over the old offices in the wine cellar and can be admired there stored barrels. A short film then ends the leadership before it goes back to the starting point. There's still a small port wine tasting at the end. The entrance fee of 6 euro is well spent. My recommendation: There is the possibility to buy themselves Portweinver-sampling. We have bought a 10 sample which is absolutely worth its price. For 2 people the right amount to a very good overview of the different types (Ruby, tawny, white, mature tawny) to get and to discover his personal favorites. Also a whole afternoon with port wine could enjoy in the comfortable sofas of the tasting Hall spent therefore also ideal in winter or in rainy weather. Curiously, the prices for the bottles are pricier here than in some shops in the city.
