  • Lovely Tour of the Porto Wine Caves, with very nice guide, and wine tasting included! A must try for anyone who visits the area!
  • In addition to the order merely commercial with the two qualities of port wine, the poor information supplied contains errors and inaccuracies, and that can only be "purchased" by the most distracted or who live or like to live in ignorance. In fact the Guide, whose commitment, professionalism and friendliness not put the slightest crisis, not to feel the weight of that represents the port, was without soul, without calls and simply dump the primer that decorated or that said to decorate ... Said that the stone used in the making of the wine is "called by the Portuguese" slate .... For a moment I thought it would be a national not accompanied by a tourist guide also not national. ... I'm Portuguese and Portuguese "no" call "the stone" shale ". In Portuguese the stone appears dark color is shale, period! Also referred to the locality of Barca de Alva as a city ... All or almost all know that is not a city: being a village historically linked to the production of port wine is still a serious error, requiring that is properly characterized, to feed a nonsense! However, if your company review in mass tourism and mercantilist purposes, inadequate and fleeting evidence of tasting-unattended of any note of evidence-that's clear evidence, as opposed to a quality tourism and requirement, so don't change anything, leave everything as it is, but I believe that the path will not be around. I can only regret the money spent and the time spent. And as I and those who were with me, the visit will be remembered for the negative and the Burmester brand associated with a big disappointment ... After all, the sentiment that occurred to me after the visit was a disappointment, a big disappointment! A real flop ... I hate to say it, but port wine, the region, and especially the people who lend you the soul, sweat and dedication deserved (and deserve) another contribution, in which case the Casa Burmester has failed to live up to.

  • A visit in the basement of one of the most famous and good, I might add, Porto. The visit takes place with a guide in several languages also, finally, in Italian. Thanks to Isabella who explained the "Porto Burmester" from the origins to the present day. In the end, you can't miss the tasting of 2 types of port. Great experience.
