  • Genuine artist cooperative where you can have a glass of wine or snack, or buy original small artworks, much of it made from recycled materials. Love this place, great vibe!
  • This is a wonderfully unique place in Vila Nova de Gaia, nestled amongst the port lodges. It is a space for artists to create and then sell their art to the public. Most of the building is used for displaying and selling various types of art - a lot of which is quirky, unique and unlikely to be found anywhere else. If you are looking for an unusual gift then this may just be the place for you. The site also includes a cafe/bar area where you can enjoy port by the glass or small plates of food, such as the excellent local sausage. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit.
  • Big space with a very nice cafe and chatty staff. One can also buy some handmade craft-works
  • Relaxed, creative and interesting space that serves as a mini art museum, cafe, and coworking space.
  • Really nice place, same kind in between bar an galerie... Had a super relaxed Port tasting in nice atmosphere... Its worth the steep streets ;)

Located just across the river from Porto's Old Town, Vila Nova de Gaia boasts a distinctive identity of its own.You can take advantage of the area's trendy riverfront district and its world-famous Port wine cellars by staying in one of the neighborhoods just south of the bridges to Old Town Porto. This puts you within easy walking distance of the wine cellars, while leaving you in close proximity to historical sites across the river by foot, bus, or taxi. Farther from the river are several international chain hotels offering comfortable rooms with high standards of cleanliness. You'll also find locally run inns and bed and breakfasts in the heart of the city's more residential neighborhoods of Cravelos and Mafamude.
